What is Emotional-Image Therapy?
As the fundamental principles of psychotherapy have been discovered and developed, methods have emerged that combine the most important and effective elements of the classical schools.
Thus, in the late 20th century, the Russian psychologist Nikolai Linde developed the new method of EIT.
This method combines the depth of the analytical approach, the ease of metaphorical work and the effectiveness of fast-acting therapy. In 2012, EIT was recognised as a new scientific and practical school and has since established itself amongst the recognised therapeutic fields.

The Future of Mental Health: Emotional-Image Therapy

Nikolay Linde is a Russian psychologist known for developing Emotion-Image Therapy (EIT). This innovative therapeutic method is designed to address chronic emotional and psychosomatic issues by working with the subconscious through imagery. The therapy integrates elements from various psychological approaches such as Gestalt therapy, psychoanalysis, Symbol Drama, and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
The core concept of EIT is that emotions can be expressed and transformed through visual images. During therapy, patients create mental images representing their emotions or psychological states, and by interacting with these images, they can modify and resolve negative feelings. This approach helps to bring about quick, often tangible emotional relief, sometimes within one or two sessions. It has been applied to treat a wide range of issues including anxiety, phobias, emotional trauma, relationship problems, and even physical symptoms like allergies and asthma.
Linde's method emphasises working with the subconscious mind without the need for the patient to retell or relive traumatic experiences, making it a more comfortable process for many. It has gained recognition in Russia and Europe for its effectiveness in producing lasting changes in emotional wellbeing.

Create an unforgettable and joyful healing experience for yourself.
Spontaneous Images

An excellent feature unique to EIT is that the psychotherapist and the client work with spontaneous images related to the client’s emotional state. It is through this imagery that the problem is analysed, its cause found and then resolved.
Initial Conflict

In the process, the therapist finds the initial conflict – the discrepancy between desire and reality – that leads to the symptoms and guides the client towards a solution. Until we address our deeper core issues, we will continue to project our inner struggles onto others.
-
Authentic inner change through a conscious choice
-
Acceptance of the outer world for what it is
-
Compassion instead of self-criticism
-
Curiosity instead of fear
-
Freedom instead of control
-
Relaxation and playfulness instead of tension
-
Self-sufficiency instead of co-dependency
-
Permission to be happy instead of self-pity
-
Life happens for you, not to you

Unlocking Your True Potential
Delivering Permanent Change Quickly and Painlessly
One of the key concepts of EIT is that any emotion or feeling can be expressed in an image, smell or sound, which, through careful analytic interpretation can point to the initial psychodynamic conflict or trauma.
Then, through specifically chosen action, we are able to resolve that inner conflict, thus transforming a negative emotional state into a positive one.
